I have been photographed and photographing others for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my grandfather would hand me and my cousins a camera and let us run wild. Then, he would develop the film in his own dark room. When he died, I inherited several large albums filled to the brim with pictures from throughout my childhood. I cherish those memories and that's what I hope to do for others. I strive to capture memories that you will cherish for a lifetime.
unique Style
To me, photography is sort of like fashion. Of course I lean towards certain styles more than others but that doesn't mean I have to pick just one, does it? I am all about feeling out your vibe or the vibe of your event and letting it lead me. Dark and moody? Light and whimsical? I'll take it all. My job - and what I love to do- is capture you and your unique personality.
A friendly experience
Portraits are about capturing who you are but it's hard for anyone to "just be themselves" in front of a camera - me included. That's why I do everything I can to create a causal environment at all of my shoots whether that just means playing some music or taking some time to get comfortable with each other first. I want you to feel more like you're just hanging out and goofing off with your besties than you are posing for a camera.
the story at the heart of it all
I'm a storyteller at heart. I've been writing for as long as I've been reading and even have four published novels under my belt. I don't just take cold headshots with no personality. At every shoot - whether I'm posing portraits or capturing events - I strive to tell the story above all else. After all, you know what they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
